Gbridge claims that the user's Google ID and password will never be sent to Gbridge server, but only sent to Google Gtalk server in encrypted form. Gbridge also suggests users to create a new google account that can be used only for Gbridge if the users have concerns about it. Gbridge claims that ther is no limitation of the number of files within one shared folder, no limitation of the number of shared folders as well as there is no maximum file size limitation.

It also claims to establish direct link between computers even if behind NAT by some forms of UDP hole punching.
